Wayne Burrows at Nottingham Contemporary

Supported by Writing East Midlands and Nottingham Contemporary, writer and editor Wayne Burrows will be ‘resident’ at Nottingham Contemporary from January to the end of March 2011, responding to exhibitions, the working environment, and its services. Throughout the residency he will run a series of workshops with groups of older people, and a larger community group, providing a supportive environment in which the participants will be encouraged to creatively respond to all facets of Nottingham Contemporary, with a particular emphasis on the use of music, film and technology within the exhibitions, including their relationships to popular culture.

This residency takes place in a dedicated contemporary visual arts venue and displays how writers can work in and respond across different artistic disciplines.

    Dear Wayne,

Saw your post about the fake Paolozzi letter. I liked it and thought of it as a way to deal with things that evade conventional means of analysis. I am organising a Paolozzi show for next year and would like to invite you to submit that letter (if it exists) and maybe others. If you want to know more please get in touch – David Brittain.
